Before Torian Sweet had a voice, there was a man with a story.

A young father from the Bronx found himself caught between two worlds. His relationship with his daughter's mother had become unhealthy, and eventually he made the difficult decision to leave the home.

But he didn't leave his daughter.

Week after week, after work, Dad came back for his little girl. Weekends became their time together. Church, Grandma's house, family dinners and simply being with her created moments of stability in a childhood that wasn't always stable.

But Dad was fighting battles of his own.

While being drawn toward God, he was still searching for fulfillment in places that could never provide it. The streets, nightlife, women, drinking, money and relationships offered temporary escapes while creating struggles of their own.

He wasn't the man he would eventually become.

And God wasn't finished with him.

Through conviction, consequences, people placed in his path and moments he couldn't ignore, God began redirecting his life.

The transformation wasn't about pretending the past never happened. It was about confronting it, learning from it and allowing God to build something different from it.

Eventually, he met the woman who would become his wife—a Godly woman whose own life experiences remarkably mirrored many of the experiences his daughter had endured.

Two stories that seemed unrelated began connecting.

A father became a husband.

A little girl became a woman.

A wife became another source of understanding and healing.

And years of experiences, journals, mistakes, lessons and faith eventually became music.
